Africa 2024
This section contains what I consider to be the most distinctive photographs I captured during a trip to Africa in August 2024, specifically in the countries of Zimbabwe and Botswana. For just over two weeks, I traveled through renowned African locations such as Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta, and the Kalahari Desert. These are unique and unrepeatable landscapes with, in my opinion, the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet.

The goal of this trip was to photograph the most iconic wild animals of the African savannah. Therefore, almost all the photographs you will find in this section are focused on African animals in various aspects of their lives, such as their relationships, feeding, resting, and more.

The photographs presented here are grouped into four thematic collections that I considered the most appropriate based on the results of the trip. These are Face to Face, Life and Death, Portraits, and The Beauty of Africa. Each collection includes a brief explanation at the beginning to enhance the observer's understanding.

In this collection of photographs, special equipment was used so that you, as the observer, feel as if you are part of the scene, giving the impression that the animal is only a few centimeters away, staring directly into your eyes. Moreover, in this type of photography, the animal is positioned dominantly over you, projecting its strength and superiority, transporting the observer into a hostile, dangerous environment where they are completely unprotected against the animal.
This immersive and enveloping experience is highly exclusive, given the great difficulty of capturing these moments in nature, especially with subjects that are potentially dangerous to humans.

Africa has been a constant reminder of how brief and harsh life can be in the wild. During my time in both Zimbabwe and Botswana, I was able to capture some of these moments with my camera. Though they may be raw and lacking in delicacy, they are an essential part of what Africa represents. Therefore, if you are a sensitive person, I recommend skipping this collection and moving directly to the next. However, if you wish to have a complete view of my journey, I encourage you to explore this collection of photographs, which in their own way, portray the beauty of survival in the African savannah.

Portraits
I consider myself privileged to have had the opportunity to photograph almost all the iconic animals of the African savannah. I was able to observe them up close in different aspects and behaviors of their lives. This collection brings together those photographs that portray them in their natural environments.
